Using manufacturing techniques including Laser Cut Frame Parts, CNC drilling and machining and Welding and some of the techniques and processes I have used to building out the Bunyip Frames.
Steam Engine Castings tailor made for the Locomotive.
A number of Iron Castings have been made to support the build of this Locomotive. Castings aid the builder particularly when the component being manufactured is of a design that is difficult to manufacture. I have completed significant work on refurbishing and making new casting patterns.
Bundaberg Fowler Rolling Gear and Suspension.
The rolling gear of the locomotive includes Wheel and Axle sets, Axle boxes, Hornblocks and locomotive springs. You’ll face problems such as shrink fitting wheels to axles, ensuring accurate positioning of wheel arrangements squarely in loco frames.
